"We visited Kabab Mahal today and were served complimentary soup as an appetizer. We ordered beef seekh kababs (with plain rice included), goat biryani, and papri chaat. The papri CHAAT was honestly the BEST I've ever had. The goat biryani was good as well. The kababs were really tasty, though they felt slightly bland due to limited chutney options. ABDULLAH provided EXCELLENT customer service and even offered us free green chutneys and water. I'm only giving it 5 stars for how the guy was so sweet to us especially my husband. The portion sizes were also generous and filling. The tea was good and reasonably priced too. The PAAN at the end was amazing.. fresh, juicy, and not dry at all like the one I had at a place on Devon! Overall, it's a good spot for desi food. They also have a restroom, which is a plus. In the background, classic Bollywood songs were playing as instrumental music, which made it fun to guess the songs with my husband. I also appreciated that the restaurant is ZABIHA HALAL certified, which is definitely a bonus point. My only SUGGESTION would be to add puri paratha to the menu and offer more chutney options with their grilled dishes or platters."

" Kabab Mahal in Villa Park is amazing! The food is full of flavor and tastes super authentic -- probably some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the area. The customer service is top-notch; everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They even give free soup, which is such a nice touch! The place is clean, cozy, and always smells incredible when you walk in. You can tell they really care about both the food and their guests. Highly recommend if you want delicious food and great vibes!"

"Great food brought by the Chicago South Asian staple JK Kabab. Ordered Bihari Kabab from the grill and Beef Chapli. Great taste and came piping hot. Only thing I noticed about those two was there was one garam masala ingredient which seemed to overpower both items, but if you don't mind it's not a problem at all. Chicken tikka masala was also great especially for the kids as it was mild. It looked like butter chicken but the taste was different. We also had the chili chicken rice which was a hit as well, can never go wrong with it. Parathay 10/10. Went on a Saturday evening so it was pretty busy and the food took a long time to come out. There isn't a lot of space for dine in. It's a no frills restaurant so if you are looking just for a great meal and don't care about the atmosphere then this is a good option. Best part is that they are serving their complimentary soup again. I will be coming back soon!"

"Popped on out to Kabab Mahal (1023 W North Ave, Villa Park) for some lunch a few days ago. They opened up about 6 months ago, and at the time, I tried, and reviewed, some of their food. I was quite simply, blown away by how good it was. It's an immense travesty on my part, that I took so long to get back there (to be fair to me, we have so many fantastic places to eat around here ). Thankfully, said travesty has now been amended, and I'm overjoyed to relate, that 6 months on, their food is still exceptional! I even opted to try completely different menu options from my last visit, so as to better explore their offerings. They had a few things on special, and I decided to take advantage of those specials! First up, was their Chicken Bhunah (Bhuna?), which is apparently a North Indian curry dish. I lament that I don't know much about regional Indian cuisine, but! I DO know tasty, and no joke, this was up there with some of the tastiest food I've ever eaten. The flavor on this dish, was next level stuff. And I'm talking like, you already beat all of Dr Wily's robot masters, you've stormed his skull fortress, beat the Robot Masters a SECOND time, and now you're staring down that goofy-haired old man, face to face. THAT'S the level of flavor I'm taking about. It was the perfect blend of savory, rich, fresh, and perfectly spiced. It hit in that way, that only Indian food can. If you know, you know. The chicken itself was so tender, and having marinated in that delicious sauce, every single bite was sumptuous and inviting. I didn't want to put my fork down. It came with rice and Naan, and while both were great in their own rights, I'm not ashamed to say, that I could've downed that entire bowl like soup, that's how good it was. I ended up using the Naan to completely wipe the bowl clean I also got the Irani Chai to drink, and the Mango Lassi to finish off the meal. Both of which, were excellent, and paired perfectly with the overall meal. My overall takeaway from my second visit to Kabab Mahal, was one of sheer delight, and continued excellence. Based off my initial run-in with their food, I had high hopes that this would be a similarly fantastic lunch, and my expectations couldn't have been met to any greater degree. Moreover, since I was trying all new items (to me), it was even more impressive, because it just solidified how phenomenal their overall menu is, and the level of skill and commitment to excellence they display. For a place that's situated in a strip mall, next to smoke and pawn shops, it punches well above it's surroundings (no offense smoke and pawn shops). What I mean is, for a place tucked away where it is, you'd could be forgiven if you didn't expect some of the best tasting food in the entire area. It's the optime of a hidden gem, and alongside some of the other phenomenal local spots we have available to us, we truly have to count ourselves as fortunate, that we've got such an abundance of incredible food, right at our doorsteps. Even if, sometimes they might be hiding in plain sight. For all those reasons and more, Kabab Mahal, absolutely continues to get, my Patented Brandon Wenzel seal of approval. If you haven't been there yet, you're missing out. Don't you love yourself? Treat yourself!!! "

"I asked them to make me a beef bihari kabab paratha roll, which they didn't have on the menu. They guy at the front and chef made it happen. It was so soft, juicy, and so flavor full. It really surpassed my expectations. he also offered me soup as I was waiting, and I kid you not it hit the spot with a little bit of hot sauce and black pepper. Took a picture after I ate have of it."

"This place is awesome. It's small. The food is fantastic. The service is wonderful. The only thing it's missing is some kind of music playing to give it up more authentic vibe while I was waiting for my to go order they even gave me a complementary cup of soup. I will say the portions are decent, but the price is a little bit more than what I was expecting, but worth it."
